Not Natural for Blood Pressure to go up as we age

February 16th, 2011 by

Did you know it is not natural for blood pressure to go up as we age?- That is not the American way– By 50 years of age our chance of having high blood pressure is around 60% and by the time we are 70 years of age it is more than 80%.  With the extra salt comes vascular problems that can affect the heart, minds, eyes and ears.  Our western diet contributes 10 – 15% more salt than the body really needs.

Many times people will tell me they don’t cook with salt but most of the salt that Americans are consuming is coming from processed foods.
