Plant-Based Eating

Slow down aging with your fork!

Eating more plants and less meat is becoming more popular than ever and along with it comes a lot of questions and concerns. I guide clients just starting out through a transition to a healthy, whole food, plant-based diet. I make sure they are not missing any key nutrients and getting those needed for peak health.

Longevity                  Feel Great                   Good for the Environment

I also work with seasoned plant-eaters to ensure they are truly eating healthy – what their body needs to be disease free and live a full life. In some cases I run some vitamin and mineral tests to be sure their body stores are strong and at their optimal levels.

If you are not sure plant-based is for you. Here are 3 good reasons to give it a try:

1. It’s good health in action – reverses heart disease; prevents a climb in blood pressure that happens with the American diet; and in-line with preventing 50% or more of cancers.

2. Easier to lose weight – you can’t eat high-calorie if you are eating lots of fruits and vegetables and listening to your hunger with all the fiber that comes naturally in them, you will feel full.

3. It’s good for the environment – it takes grain to feed cows and chickens that Americans are fond of eating. We would use a lot fewer natural resources if we ate the grains ourselves. Then there is the greenhouse gas that is produced by the food we eat and animal products are much, much higher than plant-based products and eating.

Cooking Classes

I also offer cooking classes geared for kids where they learn how to prepare easy, tasty plant-based recipes. The cooking class series follows Veggiecation®’s signature formula where kids are presented with a simple nutrition lesson as they learn to cook. Spaces are limited. Find out when the next one will be offered.
